Charlene is a senior watershed planner and scientist with deep and wise experience in government agencies, from NOAA to Commerce to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Known as a good listener and adept resolver of conflict-prone stakeholder processes, she has facilitated complex consultations for agencies helping communities prepare for and respond to environmental emergencies, assess natural damages, and plan restoration. She also assists local governments to manage growth and plan for management of conservation and resource lands and hazardous areas. Charlene has managed conservation and restoration efforts in estuaries, watersheds and coastlines of the Salish Sea of the USA and Canada. She has a B.S. in fish, wildlife & conservation biology from University of California, Davis, with emphasis in physiological ecology.
