If you care about the future, and recognize the need to transform our ecologically destructive system, work with us!
The League of Evolutionary Catalysts is an informal community of practice for folks committed to contributing to the evolution of a compassionate ecologically sustainable world.

We do this by enabling both regular people and influential decision makers to:

Recognize that we are in an existential crisis given global warming, ecological unravelling, and the prospect of nuclear war.

Grasp the system that drives our destruction.
Our approach to catalyzing healthy social change is based on introducing people to new ways of thinking that can contribute to the evolution of a viable civilization.

A viable civilization will be compassionate, just and ecologically sustainable.
Our intention, with others, is to mobilize public will to transform the current system.
​
Many of the ideas here are novel in the world of social change. Rather than just read about them, it can be helpful to have a thoughtful conversation.

Becoming an Evolutionary Catalyst colleague
​
​Our approach is novel, so there is a small learning curve.
It starts with reading​​:

The next step is to conduct a practice conversation with a friend using two of our primary communication tools:​

The final step is to have a Review Conversation with another colleague in the League.
This conversation helps you integrate the ideas, and connects you with another member of our community. You can arrange a Review Conversation by emailing info [@] stableplanetalliance.org. ​
Once you become a colleague in the League of Evolutionary Catalysts you, like the rest of us, act as an autonomous agent. Nobody directs what you do. We are aligned to a common purpose; we act on it through our own initiative.

Kitchen Table Conversations
We use Escalating Disasters and the Kitchen Table Conversations beer coasters model in personal conversations with friends and business colleagues.
Outreach Conversations

We conduct introductory conversations with potential League colleagues and leaders of organizations.
​
How we can align to create a viable society gives the background.

Evolutionary Catalyst email chain
We send emails about innovative thinking for social change to people we know. These emails introduce new ideas and perspectives that expand people's worldviews.
​
The emails are intentionally short. People can easily absorb them without being overloaded.
​
The foundational set of emails is here. The first email offers a hopeful new approach to climate change. Later ones explore nuances of mindset change.
​
The final email in our introductory series includes a request to participate in our email chain network by sending the emails to people they know. Some will agree, and thus we have the basis for organic expansion without great effort.

We post regularly about various aspects of evolving a compassionate, ecologically sustainable world.

Writing and lecturing
We integrate the goal of creating a compassionate, ecologically sustainable world, the idea of affecting people’s mindsets, and acting as Evolutionary Catalysts into our writing or lectures, often concluding with urging our audience to step up to a new level of responsibility and act as Evolutionary Catalysts.

Resolving trauma
​
There is reason to suppose that unresolved trauma is a major contributor to excess consumption, environmental damage and hyper-militarization. Reducing and resolving trauma is critical to evolving a compassionate ecologically sustainable world.
​
Some Evolutionary Catalysts introduce people to tools they can use to resolve their own emotional triggers. A manual is here.
​
Much trauma comes from abusive parenting. We encourage insurance companies, health providers and local governments to invest in supporting nonviolent-parenting coaching.

The needed action is mental. People’s behavior is based on their worldviews.We are aiming to transform the whole system that drives our destruction, not just pieces of it.
Our job is to enable people to connect-the-dots and think through for themselves why we must slow the economy to preserve our ecological life support systems.
