Chidera Benoit

Chidera Benoit is the Founder and Executive Director of Population Explosion Awareness Initiative (PEA Initiative), an indigenous Nigerian non-profit dedicated to raising awareness about the exponential rate at which that country's population is growing, and advocating for non-coercive population control through family planning and socio-cultural reengineering. PEA Initiative encourages projects that promote sexual and reproductive health and rights, helping people make informed choices towards having small families. These initiatives are geared towards tackling climate change and achieving quality-life in a sustainable planet. The idea of PEA Initiative was born out of Chidera's personal concerns for equity, quality of life, climate change and a sustainable future. He believes in the sanctity of human rights, informed choices, and the slogan that “small family sure pass!”
